I'm sorry, was that why we were told we were going to Iraq? To promote their freedom? I could have sworn it was to protect America from the WMDs they had.
And by this soldier's logic, no war can ever be a mistake because people do sacrifice their lives for it. But that's emotional hand-wringing, not a genuine argument.
There are plenty of soliders in Iraq who absolutely disagree with this man's point of view. Does he think those soldiers are betraying the cause as well?
And what does John McCain get about the soldier's sacrifice. He's stood in the way of better pay and better benefits for American servicemen. Explain to me how that's supporting the troops.
